The duration of the MMS programme is 2-year and approved by the AICTE. No doubt the MMS programme is specially designed for those students who want to develop a business. The MMS course is divided into 6 equal semesters including many topics like Marketing Management, Negotiation and Selling skills, financial management, legal and tax aspects, business environment, management Information systems etc.
Candidates can pursue this course right after graduation. Candidates who belong to the Science stream or commerce stream can also apply for an MMS course just like MBA. MMS is a sub-domain of MBA and also known as PG management programme. Several Maharashtra universities offering an MMS programme instead of an MBA course. Candidates can be specialized in MMS programme like- finance management, international business etc.

The admission process in the MMS(Master of Management Studies) course is conducted through entrance exams held by various leading institutions through nationwide conducted entrance exams such as CAT (Common Aptitude Test), CMAT (Common management admission test), MAT (Management Aptitude Test), GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), etc.
The students have to surpass the cutoff marks to seek admission to the respective colleges/universities followed by interviews or group discussions. The colleges/universities release their merit list as the minimum marks required to get admission.
Some of the institutions also conduct their entrance examinations or the states conduct entrance exams for admission in their respective state. Some of the popular entrance exams of such kind are the MH CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test), RMAT (Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test), Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common entrance test, etc.
MH CET is the most popular entrance exam for MMS courses as most of the prestigious colleges are located in Maharashtra. Students need to appear for the exam and then clear the interviews and group discussion as the final procedure for admission.
The MH CET is a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 200 questions for 120 minutes. One mark is given for right answer and there is no negative marking.
MH CET consists of four subjects with logical reasoning having the highest weightage of 75 marks, followed by quantitative aptitude and verbal ability of 50 marks and a section of abstract reasoning with 25 marks

The MMS course is postgraduate for two years which is divided into 4 semesters, two semesters for each year. All the colleges more or less offer the same subjects.
