Civil Engineering (Civil Engineering) Course

Introduction: One of the most popular courses in India is Civil Engineering also it is a job-oriented course. Many students across India have been choosing to pursue the Civil Engineering course at the PG and UG level. Civil Engineering course has been gradually increasing its grip, not only nationally but internationally as well. The course aims to educate its aspirants on various theoretical and practical knowledge of the programme. Apart from this, the course offers designing, constructing, infrastructures, planning and supervising. 

Civil engineering generally comprises 8 semesters. Some institutes/colleges/universities offer 4-year regular engineering course. The candidates should be aware of the core courses, each candidate will have to choose one area of specialization. Some of the specialization subjects are –

Civil Engineering Eligibility Criteria:

For BTech Civil Engineering-

Candidates who wish to pursue an Undergraduate engineering programme (BTech) must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must have passed Class 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects from any recognized board.
• Admissions for BTech are done through the entrance exam like – JEE Advanced, JEE Main, KCET, MHCET and more.

For MTech Civil Engineering-

Candidates who are willing to pursue MTech after completing the BTech programme must fulfil the following criteria-

• Candidates must have cleared a BTech degree in the UG level program with a minimum passing percentage.
• Admission for  MTech is done through the GATE entrance exam.
