B.Planning (Bachelor of Planning) Course

Introduction: Candidates who wish to become planning professional can pursue a B. Planning course. B. Plan or Bachelor of Planning is a professional degree course that obtains 4 years of duration and available for full-time mode. The course mainly highlighted the topics which are related to planning and designing urban human settlement like Fundaments of Urban and Regional Planning, Planning theories, Urban Planning, real estate planning, Urban Development etc. 

B. Planning is an Undergraduate level program and divided into 8 semesters. Through this course, candidates will be prepared to work in the field of Urban Planner, housing Planner, water Supply Sectors, sewage, transportations and much more. The main motive of this course is to frame the most sustainable production of human settlements, cities and urban area through better planning and utilisation. Admission for the B Planning course is done through the entrance examination. Candidates who wish to pursue this course firstly must appear for an entrance exam conducted by national, colleges, institutes or regional agencies. There are various entrance exams for B Planning course like – 

• National Aptitude Test in Architecture – NATA
• JEE Main for B. Planning
• Tamil Naidu Common Entrance Test – TANCET
• Jadavpur University Entrance Exam – JUEE etc. 

B. Planning Course Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have passed their 10+2 or any equivalent with Mathematics subject (as a mandatory subject) from any recognized board or institute.
• Candidates must have scored at least 50% in the higher secondary examination. These eligibilities may vary depending upon college to college.
