The Government of Gujarat has got on a purpose to make Gujarat an Education Hub for the country. The state government aims to provide education to their students, attracts students from other states within the country, also attracts students from other countries. Out of 20, ten are private universities (six already existing and four new have been approved and will be started soon). The state government ensure candidates should involve in the tremendous growth of industrial development. The literacy rate of Gujarat in the 2011 report is 78.00% which had significantly increased when compared to the 2001 report which was 69.140%.

The state has Gujarat National Law University which is located in Gandhinagar. It is recognized under the Gujarat National Law University Act in the year 2003. It provides various UG, PG and Doctorate courses across the field of Management, Law and Arts. St. Xavier’s College, Dharmsinh Desai University and the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda are leading universities prepared candidates for the field of Dental Science, Medical Science, Management, Pharmacy, Engineering, Family and Community Services, Pharmacy, Performing Arts, Fine Arts, Law, Journalism etc.
