IIT Delhi or the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi was established in 1961 as the College of Engineering Delhi. Later the institute was declared as an Institution of National Importance, so it was renamed as the ‘India Institute of Technology Delhi’, Under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963. Today, more than 48,000 students have successfully graduated from IIT Delhi in different disciplines, including Engineering, Management, Humanities & Social Science, and Physical Sciences. Not only this, almost 5000 students have received their Ph.D. degrees in the courses listed above. The faculty is located in HausKhaz, in South Delhi, Delhi.
