IIT Kharagpur, also known as IITKGP is a self-governing institute that was established in 1951. It has been ranked 5th for Law and Engineering by NIRF 2021. The institute offers UG, PG, PhD level programs and the academic facilities include faculty of biotechnology, engineering & Architecture, biotechnology, so on.
Established in 1955, JU secured 17th position for B.Tech course by NIRF Ranking 2021. JU offers numerous courses under UG, PG and doctoral programs in the areas of Education, Arts, Science, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Engineering.
IIEST is one of the oldest engineering institutes in India, established in 1856. IIEST offers BTech, MSc, MTech, MBA and PhD programmes in various disciplines. It provides admission through national level entrance exams such as GATE, JEE Main, CAT/MAT, etc.
NIT Durgapur was established in 1960 and is accredited by NBA. In 2021, it ranked 5th in all NITs and 29th for best engineering institute. IIEM or Institute of Engineering & Management was formed as a private institute in the yeat 1989. Presently, IIEM Kolkata offers UG and PG level courses in management, engineering and science. It is the first self-financed engineering institute in the state.
HIT was established in 2001 under Kalyan Bharti Trust which is a public charitable foundation. Formerly known as WBUT, it is accredited by NBA, NAAC and is approved by AICTE.
